Which actress paid a high price for her career decisions?

She was in all of the romantic comedies back in the 80s and 90s. I saw a ton of her movies, and then she just disappeared.

Part of what happened—she got bad plastic surgery, heavily altering the face that made her famous.

And perhaps the worst part is that she just got a ton of bad press over it, which led to her not getting as many roles in Hollywood.

In her defense, it’s almost universal that Hollywood actresses are getting plastic surgery. And if you want to preserve your career as a woman, you really have to preserve your look or the roles get passed off to younger actresses.

Perhaps her mistake was trying to do too much all at once. I’ve heard from insiders that actors and actresses start getting smaller procedures done, a nip here, a tuck there, at an early stage of their career (often in their 20s and 30s), so that it isn’t noticeable over time that they are making these changes.

If you try to reverse 20 years of aging all in one swoop, people are going to notice and the press probably won’t be friendly.
